Sales Representative – Kempton Park

Duroplastic Technologies (Pty) Ltd Is expanding our Sales team in Johannesburg and looking for a driven, energetic, and results-oriented External Sales Representative to grow our customer base and strengthen client relationships. As an External Sales Representative, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients, and meeting or exceeding sales targets. This is a field-based role requiring regular travel to meet with existing and prospective clients.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Matric
  • 5+ years sales experience in industrial building, material supply or similar industry
  • Good all-round product knowledge of plastic composites, awnings, roof sheets, resins, etc
  • Good knowledge of measurements, meters, sqm, linear meters, etc
  • Able to read architectural drawings.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, goal-driven, and able to work independently
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly
  • Cold calling experience
  • Excellent networking skills
  • Build and maintain good customer relationships.
  • Fully computer literate

Responsibilities and Key Performance Areas

  • Prospect and generate new leads through cold calling, networking, and field visits
  • Conduct in-person meetings and product presentations with clients
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Maintain detailed records of sales activities and customer interactions in CRM
  • Provide market feedback and competitive insights to the sales team and leadership
  • Attend trade shows, networking events, and industry conferences as needed
  • Travel within Kempton Park and surrounding area to engage with and attract potential new clients.
  • Generate accurate quotations for customers.
  • Ensure all orders placed are captured correctly and processed for payment.
  • Ensure clients are satisfied with purchases and have an all-round good customer experience.
  • Processing and capturing orders.
  • Adhering to all SOP’s
  • Achieve new monthly sales targets.
  • Monitor sales figures daily, weekly and monthly.
  • Ensure stock holding is sufficient to service client requests.
  • Liaise with hardware stores.
  • Schedule and booking of deliveries (DC, hardware stores, client deliveries)
  • Ensure deliveries are invoiced and payments are cleared (EFT) where applicable.
  • Ensure admin processes are always adhered to.
  • Follow-up to ensure deliveries are dispatched within timeframe specified clients.
