Duroplastic Technologies (Pty) Ltd is recruiting for a suitably skilled and experienced Facilities and Fixed Asset Manager to oversee and manage all facilities, Fleet and Insurances for the Group reporting directly to the Procurement Manager.
Duroplastic is a well-established South African company supplying composite materials to trade and industry as a major supplier of a wide range of materials and products in the Sub-Saharan African region; with 4 branches nationwide including Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban and George.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Matric
- 5+ years facilities and fleet experience
- Financial and business acumen
- Data analysis skills
- Fully computer literate
Responsibilities and Key Performance Areas
- Property and facilities portfolio: Manage and oversee all owned and rented buildings, and grounds to ensure a safe and functional workspace, including but not limited to:
- Managing Insurance portfolio
- Maintenance and repair management including supervising facilities staff on all plumbing, electrical or maintenance duties
- Management of rates and taxes for all buildings.
- Inspecting facilities to meet safety regulations.
- Coordinating renovations, updates, and overseeing contractor maintenance work.
- Fixed Assets portfolio: Maintaining and overseeing the company’s equipment and assets including but not limited to:
- Negotiating contracts with service providers.
- Maintaining records related to asset management; Cell phone registers; IT equipment Registers,
Equipment Registers - Managing company spend on all company assets: cell phone accounts, ect.
- Ensuring performance of the firm’s fixed assets through proactive data analysis, highlighting abuse and making recommendations.
- Stock integrity and management to ensure accurate reporting of stock movement tracking and continuous update of insurances on stock for protection of companies stock holding using the company internal systems.
- Fleet portfolio:
- Overseeing the purchase and maintenance of fleet vehicles.
- Managing all aspects of vehicle operation, including licensing, insurance, and warranty.
- Planning and scheduling regular vehicle maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures for vehicle use and maintenance.
- Managing and tracking fuel consumption and expenses.
- Management of Fleet tracking system, ensuring fleet safety, creating processes, budgeting, inventory, and repairs.
- Recruiting drivers and maintaining vehicle service records.
